Romeo and Juliet in the coal region.
Watch The Hour is about the conflict between mine owners and their employees, primarily Irish immigrants, in the 1870s in Pennsylvania’s anthracite coal region. Private police forces commissioned by the state but paid by the coal companies are sworn to protect property of the mine owners. Benjamin Franklin Yeager, one of these police officers, does his best to follow orders while trying to be fair to the workers, whose lot he sees as little different than his own. His job makes him the enemy of the Irish. And that’s the crux of his problem, for Ben is in love with an Irish lass.

Reviews
Five 5 and 4-star reviews for Destiny
5 Stars! “A wonderful inspirational second chance. The latest inspirational visit to Peaceful, Wisconsin (see Family Heirlooms and the Friendship Heirlooms Series) is a wonderful romance starring a lost soul and the love of a woman destined to return him to the flock. . . .” ~ Harriet Klausner for Genre Go Round Reviews

4 ½ Stars! “This story shows that, quite often, what you are desperately searching for in your life has always been there, unseen due to its familiarity. And as with Elizabeth, it also shows that love is often blind. Too blind. The lucky ones realize it before it is too late. . . .” ~ Huntress Review.

4 Stars! “DESTINY by Karen Wiesner is a very good book. As a Christian and a young adult, I could relate to this book on many levels. As humans, when we are on a spiritual level sometimes we find it hard to forgive ourselves when we feel that we have done wrong. . . .” ~ Readers Favorite
